In her past life, Yun Qiyue, legitimate daughter of the Wanling Sect, was betrayed by her lover Xuanhuang and adoptive sister Chu Yuyan. Stripped of her phoenix bone and watching her sect fall to ruin, she struck the bell and died in hatred. Reborn at the very moment of spirit beast binding, she abandons Xuanhuang and saves the dying cub Baize, awakening its ancient divine beast bloodline with her phoenix bone blood and crimson pearl grass. Chu Yuyan forcefully binds Xuanhuang and suffers fierce backlash, colluding with the Demon Clan to frame her repeatedly. Yun Qiyue counters calmly, Baize utterly defeats Xuanhuang at the grand ceremony, and secret realm cultivation skyrockets her power. Working together, they quell the demon uprising and internal sect strife, while Chu Yuyan dies after detonating the Donghuang Bell. Protecting her sect and standing alongside Zhaoye, Yun Qiyue takes control of Wanling Sect and reigns supreme over heaven's destiny.
