Eighties Engagement: I Rely on My Medical Skills to Turn the Tide
Modern-day traditional Chinese medicine practitioner Song Wennuan accidentally travels back to 1987 and becomes the vicious female supporting character with the same name, whose fate in a novel is tragic. Rejecting the original plot, she resolves to end her engagement to military officer Lu Hanchuan and build an independent life in Beicheng by finding work with her medical skills and taking the adult college entrance examination. She first demonstrates her abilities by outsmarting human traffickers aboard a train. Facing prejudice from the Lu family and Bai Yingying's schemes, she relies on her medical expertise and integrity to overcome crises, save Grandma Lu, and heal Lu Hanchuan's old injury.
