Song Man, a butcher-shop owner who has slaughtered pigs for ten years, is dumped by her scumbag ex for being "infertile" — but by a twist of fate she catches the eye of the Shen family's old matriarch and marries into the Shen family in a flash, with a 30-million bride price. Facing an autistic stepson who refuses to eat, an icy husband, a spendthrift brother-in-law and a love-struck sister-in-law, Song Man ignores rich-family rules and only "cuts" to the root of each problem. She coaxes her son to eat with iron-pot stew, knocks sense into the love-struck one with a dung ladle, and turns her butcher's knife on a pig-butchering scam. Who knew that, while butchering pigs and raising a kid, she would bring the cold Shen family back to life? In the end, the whole family becomes her followers, and even the young master who won't let anyone touch him hugs her tight and shouts, "She's not the nanny, she's my mom!"
