A modern man travels back in time to the Six Garrisons of the Northern Wei dynasty and becomes Liu Teng, a registered household member of Huaishuo Garrison. Without a system or any special advantages, he can only train troops, win people's loyalty, befriend Hou Jing and Gao Huan, and pledge allegiance to Erzhu Rong. Starting as an ordinary garrison soldier, he rises all the way to Commander of the Vanguard. Amid the flames of the Six Garrisons, the Rouran people's submission, and the fall of Huaishuo City, he eventually accompanies Erzhu Rong to Luoyang under an imperial edict, standing on the eve of the Heyin Incident. Witness how a humble frontier soldier makes his start.
