The Turnaround Road of Thirteen Yuan
In 1985, Chen Jianjun was allocated a dilapidated scrap yard during a family division of property. With his wife about to give birth, he begged everywhere for thirteen yuan, only to be coldly rejected by his relatives. While the yard full of scrap metal was treated as a joke, he picked up a wrench, determined to repair a path to survival. Stalled imported trucks and rusted tractors turned once again in his hands. He earned back his wages through his craftsmanship, and bit by bit, he won back respect. Until later on, before the machines even broke down, people were already coming to find him. Thirteen yuan had once driven him into a desperate plight, but a single wrench allowed him to straighten his back step by step.
