Baozhu's Cold Palace Delivery Diary
Five-year-old Chu Baozhu is framed by the Empress and cast into the Cold Palace together with her birth mother, Shu Yunwan. Consort Shu runs a high fever and palace maids are so starved they cannot bite into hard steamed buns. At this critical moment, a jade pendant transports Baozhu to a modern convenience store, where store clerk Chen Yue gives her fever medicine and bread. Baozhu trades a golden hairpin for medicine and snacks for seeds, bringing back down jackets and plastic film to build a greenhouse. Shu Yunwan leads the palace maids in building a chicken coop and growing green vegetables, and for the first time, the fragrance of food drifts through the Cold Palace. Holding her daughter close, Shu Yunwan says they will survive by their own two hands. Baozhu's bravery and kindness bring everyone together.
