The Cat I Set Free Always Clings to Me
In the mountains and wilderness, Xia Ning rescues a scarred cat beast, breaks the shackles locking him, and sets him free back to the forests. Thinking they would part ways forever, ever since that day, this cat beast she set free secretly follows her. He sometimes transforms into the aloof young man Bai Ming, with cat ears on his temples, stubborn and awkward, guarding by her side every step of the way. Having once suffered imprisonment, he has long regarded Xia Ning as his only sanctuary. The fires of war between the human and beast clans surge in the dark, and danger approaches step by step. Bai Ming is willing to endure the world's criticism for her, protecting her safety with the power of an ancient divine beast. A single act of setting free in exchange for a long romance that transcends race and life-and-death.
