Lu Jiawen is a member of the third group of astronauts to explore the far side of the Moon. After returning to Earth, his behavior becomes abnormal. He cannot remember his daughter's nickname, is terrified of round objects, seals all the windows in their home, and threatens his wife, Shen Qiu, with a knife in the middle of the night, though he never stabs her. Shen Qiu, a ground-support specialist in the aerospace program, discovers that over the past twenty years, the wives of all eleven astronauts who returned from the far side of the Moon mysteriously disappeared on the fifteenth day after their husbands' return. On the fifteenth night of the full moon, Lu Jiawen reveals the truth: Chang'e has been parasitizing Shen Qiu's body, and he personally offered Shen Qiu as a sacrifice. Shen Qiu's consciousness is trapped behind an ice wall, where she watches Chang'e use her body to embrace her daughter and deceive everyone.

Não se lembra da alcunha da filha, tem medo de objetos redondos, fecha todas as janelas de casa e ameaça a mulher, Shen Qiu, com uma faca a meio da noite, embora não chegue a esfaqueá-la.
