The Sable King of Snowy Mountains: 1978 Old Chief's Counterattack
In Kaoshan Village at the foot of Changbai Mountain, generations of villagers guarded the rules of the mountains and forests with reverence and kindness. Old Mountain Qin lived with his companions in this sea of forests, abiding by the duties of mountain people and living in harmony with the spirits of the mountain. Out of a momentary greedy impulse, villager Chen Yaozu committed a wrongdoing and lost his stable dwelling, going alone to the back mountain's charcoal kiln to burn charcoal and reflect on his mistakes. When the cold winter snow fell, the warmth of the Qin family's red pine log cabin filled the air, red lanterns reflecting the laughter and joy of the family and neighbors; beside the wild charcoal kiln, Chen Yaozu slowly settled down through his labor, experiencing hardship and reflecting on the past.
