Mountain Village Gambiered Silk Restoration Workshop
Liang Xin, a fabric designer who has returned to her hometown, comes back to Langchou Village and faces a declining old gambiered silk workshop and piles of discarded traditional gambiered silk. Determined to restore this intangible cultural heritage craft, she sets out to revive the ancient art. At first, Master Liang, an experienced artisan, is skeptical of her plans. Livestreams attract little attention, and torrential rain damages their materials. Faced with these setbacks, the entire village joins forces. Using discarded wooden barrels, shuliang roots, and old fabrics, the villagers transform an abandoned primary school into a restoration workshop and organize dyeing and finishing experience classes. After repeated testing and refinement, the Gambiered Silk Sun-Drying Night Festival finally opens successfully. The old silk regains its brilliance, young people return to their hometown, and children take part in passing down the craft. Together, they establish a sustainable recycling system for traditional gambiered silk, breathing new life into this ancient art in the mountain village.

Liang Xin, uma designer de tecidos que regressou à sua terra natal, volta à aldeia de Langchou e depara-se com uma antiga oficina de seda gambiered em decadência e montes de seda gambiered antiga. Determinada a recuperar este ofício do património cultural imaterial, decide restaurar a arte tradicional. Inicialmente, o mestre Liang, um artesão experiente, não acredita nos seus planos. As transmissões em direto não despertam interesse e uma tempestade destrói os materiais. Perante as dificuldades, toda a aldeia une esforços. Os habitantes aproveitam barris de madeira usados, raízes de shuliang e tecidos antigos para transformar uma escola primária abandonada numa oficina de restauro e organizar aulas práticas de tingimento e acabamento de tecidos. Após inúmeras experiências e aperfeiçoamentos, o Festival Noturno de Secagem ao Sol da Seda Gambiered realiza-se finalmente com sucesso. Os tecidos antigos recuperam o seu brilho, os jovens regressam à terra natal e as crianças participam na transmissão desta tradição. Em conjunto, criam um sistema de reciclagem e reutilização da seda gambiered antiga, dando uma nova vida a esta arte ancestral na aldeia da montanha.
