Five hundred years ago, during an invasion by foreign forces, General Shi Rulong led the navy into battle against the enemy. Unexpectedly, the enemy deployed several ironclad warships, resulting in Shi Rulong's crushing defeat. Facing the Emperor's condemnation, Shi Rulong, along with Naval Superintendent Hu Wei and Master Craftsman Liu, were thrown into prison and sentenced to be beheaded. The trio used Shi Rulong's ancestral heirloom, "Bi-Pi-Ji," to travel through time to a modern port city. In this entirely new world, Shi Rulong must accomplish several impossible missions: survive, locate his two companions and the heirloom, steal the manufacturing technology of ironclad ships, and return to five hundred years ago to save the precarious Dahua Dynasty.
