Lin Zhiyuan, who lost his parents in early childhood, drifted without support until taken in by an elderly scavenger, Zhou Shouyi. Inside a simple recycling station, with an oil lamp and a room full of old books, the old man lived frugally to accompany him through his studies. Holding fast to his grandmother's admonition that "old books have paths," Zhiyuan worked hard and forged ahead, rising from an ignorant child to become the top scorer in the provincial college entrance examination. The small recycling station is filled with warmth and goodwill, paving the way with the fragrance of books and lighting lamps with kindness, embodying the warm power of chasing dreams from humble origins and how kindness ultimately yields sweet rewards.
