After losing her son, Wang Guilan eked out a living doing farm work alongside her daughter-in-law and grandchildren in poverty. By chance, she gained the ability to travel between ancient and modern times. Using modern first-aid knowledge, she saved Emperor Long Yunfei of Great Xia from an assassination attempt and was recognized as his godmother. Taking only modest supplies back home, she spearheaded an agricultural cooperative to lead the villagers in developing specialty crops, smoothly resolving all kinds of operational difficulties. Upon learning that the Emperor was embroiled in border and court crises, she brought modern agricultural supplies across time to aid disaster relief, appease the people, and stabilize the state. Ultimately, she led her village out of poverty toward prosperity, while also bringing her daughter-in-law and the Emperor together in a blessed union.
