On the Day of Breaking Off the Engagement, I Married the Regent Instead
On the wedding day of the legitimate daughter of the Prince of Zhenbei Manor, she was publicly abandoned by her original heir fiancé, and her concubine sister who came along seized the moment to humiliate her, creating an uproar in the hall. Showing no weakness or panic, she consented to call off the engagement on the spot, turning instead to marry the powerful current Regent. Her former status as the designated heir's consort was annulled, instantly elevating her to a respected imperial aunt. The heir and concubine sister who once humiliated her were forced to come on time to kneel and pay respects. Harboring resentment, the two continuously plotted in secret, attempting to reclaim their dignity, but their conspiracies were exposed one after another, meeting a retributive end of self-destruction.
