Mute Uncle Seeks Justice For Me
As soon as Lin Xiaoman turned eighteen, her grandmother planned to marry her off to a butcher in town in exchange for a bride price. On the night of the wedding procession, He Shouhan, her uncle who had been missing for fifteen years, suddenly appeared, stopped the marriage, and protected Xiaoman and her sickly mother. Everyone in the village thought he had fled after stealing money and committing arson back then. As He Shouhan gestured with difficulty, the truth gradually unfolded: back then, he stumbled upon a wrongdoing, was misunderstood instead of being rewarded for stepping forward to save someone, and was even harmed so that he could not speak. Only then did the mother and daughter realize they had wronged him for a full fifteen years.
