Combine harvester operator Song Qishan reaps wheat for Hao Gui'e's family, but a dispute arises over acreage and field loss. Hao Gui'e insists on demanding 260 yuan in compensation and even lies under the harvester's wheels to threaten him. Helpless, Song Qishan pays and leaves. As word spreads, other operators bypass Liuwan Village, causing many households' wheat to be damaged by rain. Hao Gui'e's own 6 mu of wheat gets soaked and sprouts. Ultimately, she repents and admits her fault, and the village establishes rules of integrity. A petty gain of 260 yuan came at the cost of an entire season's harvest.
