I Arrange Banquets for the Whole Village
Zhou Yuan, a young man returning to his hometown, believes his knowledge of modern procedures is all he needs. When organizing a wedding, he refuses to hire the experienced banquet manager Zhao Changgui, only to find himself overwhelmed by one mishap after another because he has overlooked the importance of human relationships and local customs. After suffering several setbacks, he humbly asks Zhao Changgui to take him on as an apprentice. Through organizing one celebratory and funeral banquet after another, Zhou Yuan gradually matures, learning to balance rules and procedures with human warmth and understanding. His rival, Zheng Kaiye, focuses solely on low prices and efficiency, eventually ruining his jobs. Zhou Yuan, meanwhile, learns to set fair prices, preserve his craftsmanship, and uphold the values of friendship, fairness, and mutual respect in the village.

Zhou Yuan, un giovane tornato nel suo paese natale, è convinto che le sue conoscenze delle procedure moderne siano sufficienti. Quando organizza un matrimonio, si rifiuta di assumere Zhao Changgui, un esperto responsabile dei banchetti.
