Leaving My Partner, I Rely on My Craft to Stand Firm on the Old Street
Cheng Ye partners with his cousin Zhou Licheng to run a breakfast shop, single-handedly managing the kitchen and making the little business famous with his culinary skills. But Zhou Licheng falsifies the accounts, takes credit for his achievements, and drives him away with just 5,000 yuan. Cheng Ye opens Cheng's Breakfast Shop at the entrance to the old street, winning customers over with the quality of his food. Without the key skills that Cheng Ye brought to the business, Zhou's shop gradually declines. Zhou Licheng repeatedly swallows his pride and begs for reconciliation, but Cheng Ye refuses. In the end, Cheng Ye establishes himself through his craftsmanship, and his shop continues to thrive, while Zhou's shop goes completely bankrupt.
