Song Shoucheng, the kindhearted owner of a night market, has run it for eight years. After falling ill and being hospitalized, he entrusts the market to his son, Xiao Song. Una volta preso il controllo, però, Xiao Song diventa sempre più avido e comincia a imporre nuove tariffe. Prima fa pagare il parcheggio, poi obbliga tutte le bancarelle a chiudere alle undici di sera e aggiunge ogni mese una tariffa per il prolungamento dell'orario.
