Eight Yuan to Fill, Heartburn to Suffice
At the logistics park, Zhou Tieshan sells 18-yuan freshly-stir-fried lunch boxes, and a two-yuan price hike gets him scolded as black-hearted. Wang Ji's eight-yuan two-meat meals grab customers, eight yuan all you can eat, heartburn all you can get. He insists on making food with fresh meat, but gets cyberbullied, reported, and driven out of the park. Retreating to the north of the city, he relies on genuine ingredients to queue up again. Wang Ji cuts off his meat source, impersonates him for delivery, and edits videos to throw dirt. On Double 11 peak fulfillment night, problematic meals cause physical discomfort for many, and the back-of-house truth is exposed: leftover dishes re-wokked, frozen rice re-steamed, fake whole wheat steamed buns. The park begs him to return, but he only puts forward three conditions: no price slashing, no overnight food, and old customers not lost. Can a meal of conscience win back one thousand five hundred mouths?
