Twenty-six-year-old Li Xiaoming has an entrepreneurial dream and ropes his parents, Li Jianguo and Wang Cuihua, into filming short videos. At first, the family follows trends by acting out exaggerated overbearing-CEO scripts, causing countless embarrassments and falling into financial hardship due to rent pressure. At the suggestion of his girlfriend Chen Jiajia, they begin documenting real family daily life. The lively interactions between the hardcore dad and short-tempered mom unexpectedly become a viral hit. After finding fame, the family chases internet traffic and grows increasingly conceited, nearly losing their original intentions. Eventually, guided by Chen Jiajia, they drop their pretenses, rediscover their roots through genuine livestreaming, and realize that authentic everyday life is the true key to success.
