After fifty-year-old Huang Haisheng retired, his biggest wish was to guard the small courtyard by the sea and live a stable life with his son Huang Zhiyuan's family. Who would have known that Huang Zhiyuan would suddenly be laid off by his company, and his daughter-in-law Liu Lina not only failed to tide over the difficulties together, but instead secretly took away the savings in the home and Huang Haisheng's pension, disappearing without a trace after leaving fifty thousand yuan of debt. The debt collectors came knocking, and the son was completely devastated, leaving Huang Haisheng with no choice but to put on his rubber boots again and return to the seaside he had been away from for twenty years.
