As three thousand mu of Qiuyue pears in Shahe Village are on the verge of being swallowed by flash floods, entrepreneur Zhou Yuan rushes back overnight with 3 million in cash and a fleet of refrigerated trucks to repay the villagers who pooled money for his tuition twenty years ago. However, village director Zhao Dehou and streamer Lin Xiaohe shut him out under the pretext of 'price suppression.' The storm arrives as predicted, and Lin Xiaohe's father, Lin Laogen, believing his daughter's promise of 'thirty yuan a jin,' refuses to sell his rotting pears, ultimately collapsing in the muddy pear orchard from a heart attack. This tragedy tears open the fractures of trust within the village. Bringing scientific testing and a 'pear tree adoption' plan, Zhou Yuan returns once more. An arduous struggle of trust and reconstruction makes its final cut on the hillside where pear blossoms bloom anew.
