Shen Yanzhou, a young man from Heishui Village, is framed by the village chief's son Zhao Hu for stealing tribute meant for the Mountain God. His fiancée Li Cuihua breaks off the engagement on the spot, and the villagers force him into the forbidden Duanhun Ridge. In dire straits, Shen Yanzhou falls into an ancient pit and awakens the Golden Pupils of the Mountain God, granting him the power to tame beasts and recognize spiritual herbs, leading him to unearth a century-old Blood-Weeping Ginseng. Coming down the mountain, he relies on peerless mountain treasures to crush the snobbish Zhao Hu and Li Cuihua, rescues a spirit fox, and unearths bandit silver coins which he willingly hands over. When a Wild Boar King threatens to massacre the village, Shen Yanzhou unleashes the divine majesty of the Mountain God to tame the beasts, reforming the greedy village chief and his son. He leads the villagers to establish a mountain foraging cooperative, institutes strict rules to protect the wilderness, enriches everyone through pristine wild medicinal herbs, and transforms the impoverished village into a renowned, prosperous green haven.
