People Beneath the Tower tells the story of a young man, Liang, who enters a mysterious high tower where strength and ascension come at a cost, in search of his father who has been missing for years. With each floor he ascends, he must sacrifice parts of his body, his senses, and even his most treasured memories. As his power grows, he gradually loses who he once was, while the girl who stays by his side becomes his final anchor to humanity. When Liang finally reaches the top of the tower, he discovers his father has long been trapped here by immortality, and the ultimate price awaiting him is the future of the person he cherishes most. Father and son, power and humanity, immortality and death—everything meets its final reckoning at the tower's peak.
