The Person in the Ink Painting
Shen Hui, a young maiden of Half-Paper Studio, guards the painting workshop left by her grandfather. Inside a painting titled "Listening to the Snow," the painting soul Gu Qingmo is hidden. One lonely and guarding the studio, the other trapped within an ancient painting, a single bout of muttering aloud allows the youth within the painting to step out of the scroll. Accompanying each other day and night, Shen Hui learns painting from Gu Qingmo, joining hands to cope with the covetousness and harassment of the art dealer Shopkeeper Qian. Having weathered storms such as moisture damage to the painting soul and framed for forgery, Shen Hui attentively cares for and preserves the ancient painting, using sincerity to guide the painting soul into truly manifesting in the mortal world. From companionship within the painting to abiding together in the human world, inside Half-Paper Studio, with brush and ink as the medium, one person and one painting turn lonely years into warm, ordinary fireworks year after year.

All'interno di un dipinto intitolato "Ascoltando la Neve", è nascosta l'anima della pittura Gu Qingmo. Una custodia solitaria lo studio, l'altro è intrappolato in un antico dipinto; un soliloquio fa uscire il giovane del dipinto dal rotolo. Accompagnandosi giorno e notte, Shen Hui impara a dipingere da Gu Qingmo, unendo le forze per far fronte alla cupidizia e alle vessazioni del mercante d'arte bottegaio Qian. Avendo superato tempeste come i danni dell'umidità all'anima del dipinto e le trappole di falsificazione, Shen Hui si prende cura con dedizione dell'antico dipinto, usando la sincerità per guidare l'anima del dipinto a manifestarsi veramente nel mondo mortale.
