Shi Yao, a modern-day corporate drone of the Quick Transmigration Bureau, accidentally travels back to ancient Egypt's Nineteenth Dynasty in BC due to a cracked Ankh. Stranded in Memphis, she makes a name for herself in the temple using modern knowledge, catching the attention of Pharaoh Ramesses and being brought into the royal palace. As they spend time together, they grow mutually attracted, but Shi Yao remains dedicated to her mission, searching single-mindedly for the Ankh that allows time travel so she can return to modern times. Fleeing the palace to search for clues, she coincidentally saves Ramesses, who has been severely wounded in an assassination attempt, and the two are forced to evade Hittite pursuers together. Trapped between a 3,000-year-old bond of tenderness and her duty to return home, Shi Yao faces a dilemma between love and her mission.
