At the wedding scene, the true heiress Chen Maisui publicly exposes her identity. The fake heiress Gu Wan is forced to give up her position as the young mistress of the Lu family, marrying down into the Lu family's collateral branch engineer Lu Yu and heading far away to a southern mountainous project department. Breaking free from the shackles of eleven years of elite family boundaries, Gu Wan joyfully rushes toward the distance. Although life in the mountains is simple, she gains respect and freedom, healing each other and growing two-way with the gentle and responsible Lu Yu. After stepping into the elite family, Chen Maisui suffers repeated setbacks, suddenly wakes up and comes to the mountains, untangles past emotional knots with Gu Wan, and puts down roots in the countryside to work as a tutor.
