Traveling back to ancient times, Cheng Xiaoman only wants to guard her tiny plot of land and live a good life out of poverty. Spirit spring water waters the crops, making the vegetables sturdier than anyone else's; spatial storage keeps the silver, making coins jingle together. In spring, she digs up herbs to trade for rice and flour; in summer, she grows melons to build up family savings; in autumn, she pickles vegetables and dries goods; in winter, she snuggles on the warm brick bed and counts copper coins. Her hunter husband doesn't talk much, but dotes on her to the bone. From an old dirt hut to a blue-brick tile house, from two people to a family of three, what she accumulates is not just silver, but also the three meals of the four seasons, the crowing of roosters and barking of dogs, and a courtyard full of mortal warmth. In all human affairs, Xiaoman is just right.
