“Please, all my imperial brothers, prepare to die!” Zhou Che, the sixth prince of Great Xia, is framed by his fifth imperial brother as soon as he enters the palace, leaving him trapped in a deadly predicament. Using his modern knowledge, he proves his innocence before the court and escapes death. He recruits Gai Yue, the greatest swordsman under heaven, and forms a marriage alliance with the wealthy Zhen family to secure financial resources. After inventing a method of producing toxin-free refined salt, he monopolizes the salt trade and establishes a salt gang to secretly build his own army. His imperial brothers repeatedly conspire with the rebel forces of Hedong to set deadly traps against him. Zhou Che ventures alone into enemy territory and seizes control of the army from under their noses, putting down the rebellion. At court, he publicly exposes the treasonous dealings and conspiracy against the throne of two of his imperial brothers, settling accounts with everyone who has ever humiliated him. Military power, financial power, and the woman he loves are now all within his grasp. The sixth prince's revenge and struggle for the throne has only just begun!
