Gao Yang, a ruthless modern capitalist, is accidentally transmigrated to the Great Qian Dynasty and becomes the spoiled eldest grandson of the Dingguo Duke Manor. At that time, Empress Wu Zhao has just taken power, while warlords divide the court, aristocratic clans run rampant, foreign enemies surround them, and chaos reigns inside and outside the court. Gao Yang takes down the imperial recruitment edict and enters the court, becoming the era's poison strategist with vicious and meticulous schemes. He quells the grain famine, eradicates the locust plague, repeatedly slaps conservative scholars like top scholar Cui Xinghe in the face with open and secret plots, dismantles the treasonous conspiracy of the prince step by step, and suppresses powerful clans. Ruthless and decisive, he makes the Empress privately call him the Living Yama. With his forward vision he pushes new reforms, stabilizes the borders, rises all the way to prime minister, and assists the Empress.
