In the morning mist of the Cizhou kiln, Su Ciyin throws clay alone, the clay on the potter's wheel gradually forming a plum vase. The spirit of her husband, Chen Mobai, watches over her, observing as she paints the glaze recipe they explored together onto the porcelain surface stroke by stroke. On the day the kiln is opened, the sky-blue glaze shines soft and lustrous like jade. Holding the warm vase, she whispers, "I did it." In the courtyard, the old locust tree rustles without wind. Looking at the reignited resilience and light in his wife's eyes, Chen Mobai finally smiles and dissolves into the sheen of the new glaze—she has learned to manage the kiln alone, carrying his craft and love to live a bright and hopeful life.
