Why Did I Pay for the Class Reunion
Centering around an out-of-control class reunion, it tells the story of the organizer, Zhou Hui, who booked the dining venue only to have a crowd of classmates bring uninvited family members and wantonly order high-priced meals and wine, causing the fifteen-person RSVP list to balloon to twenty-three. After the gathering ended, everyone relied on the inherent bias of "whoever sets up the gathering pays for it" to make Zhou Hui bear the full bill of over fifteen thousand yuan. Faced with the malicious smearing of her classmates, Zhou Hui held fast to her principles, gathered evidence to fight back, peeled back layer by layer the selfish motives of everyone taking advantage, and ultimately clarified the reality of human nature through the accounts.
