Lin Jianguo returned to his hometown to start a business, dedicating himself to researching strawberry cultivation techniques. He built standardized greenhouses on the barren slopes of Gaoqiao, legally contracted the land, and completed all government approval procedures. Driven by greed, his clan uncle Lin Mancang and his family rallied villagers in an attempt to seize his cultivation techniques and greenhouse assets for free, even trying to pressure him by cutting off water and electricity. Lin Jianguo adhered to laws and regulations without resorting to violence. After a discarded draft of cultivation notes he had misplaced was stolen by the greedy relatives, their blind imitation of the formula ended up ruining their own farmland.
