Modern assassin Gu Jiao travels through time after a plane crash, becoming the Marquis Manor's true daughter who was lost in the countryside, and marrying Xiao Liulang, a matrilocal husband of mysterious background. Troubled by the gecko sand mark on her face, Xiao Liulang paints a plum blossom to conceal it for her, and romantic feelings gradually blossom between the two. When the Marquis of Dingyuan returns to find his daughter, seeing that she is unwilling to return to the Marquis Manor, he believes Xiao Liulang is creating obstacles, forcibly pressuring them to divorce and trying by every means to tear them apart. Yet the numerous obstacles only deepen their bond; Gu Jiao warms Xiao Liulang's heart and uses her medical skills to nurse him back to health, and the two ultimately stay together in deep love. Adapted from the novel "Prime Minister's Beloved Wife" by Pian Fangfang.
