Su Yuexi fought on the battlefield for three years to reclaim lost territories and supported her fiancé, Li Pei, in consolidating his imperial power. Upon her triumphant return, Li Pei and her elder legitimate sister framed and betrayed her. Disillusioned, Su Yuexi severed the engagement in public and took control of the imperial court with the late emperor's posthumous edict. Overcoming numerous political conspiracies, soothing displaced refugees, containing epidemics, and rooting out court corruption, she stopped relying on others. With military command in hand and devotion to the people, she ascended the imperial throne with the full support of civil and military officials, shattering worldly constraints, safeguarding the vast realm, and ushering in a glorious new era.
