Crown Prince's Consort, You Look So Cool When You Make a Cold Face
The sharp-tongued and nagging Crown Prince Shang Lian, having repeatedly angered court officials with his outspoken remonstrations, is ordered by the Emperor to marry Cao Er, the abandoned daughter of the Marquis estate who cannot speak. Everyone sighs that the two are an absurd match, with no one holding out hope. But no one knows that in a desperate plight of his youth, the battered and disheveled he was once saved by the kind and resilient Cao Er, and had long since fallen deeply in love with her. After marriage, Shang Lian is full of exclusive affection, meticulously guarding, gently and tenderly healing the aphasiac Crown Prince's Consort. Amidst his doting pampering and love, Cao Er slowly opens her heart, reclaims her speech, and the two rush toward each other in both directions, redeeming one another, hand in hand parting the gloom of the past, crushing the storms of political intrigue, finally staying together for a lifetime in peace year after year.
