Protecting His Mother in Desperate Peril: He Gave His Mother-in-Law the Chance to Survive
A fire breaks out in an old residential building, trapping Lin's mother, Lin Wei, Su Ting, and Su Ting's mother inside. Su Ting's mother loses consciousness, and Su Ting desperately cries for help. Lin Feng rushes into the burning building. Torn between Lin Wei's desperate pleas and Su Ting threatening him with divorce, he chooses to leave his own mother in Lin Wei's care and carry his mother-in-law to safety first. Su Ting even stops him from going back to rescue his mother. Lin Wei repeatedly calls Lin Feng, begging him to come and see her one last time, but Su Ting insists that their own little family must come first, making Lin Feng refuse and even blocking Lin Wei's calls. Lin Feng's mother takes a turn for the worse and dies, while he remains at the hospital caring for his mother-in-law and preparing for his promotion celebration, completely unaware of his mother's death. When he is finally dragged to the funeral home, he completely breaks down.
