After discovering the truth about her birth, Wen Lichu is framed and forced to leave her home. With nowhere else to turn, she accidentally climbs into the sedan chair of Yan Shijun, a powerful court official, who takes her in. From a timid girl who always backs down, Wen Lichu gradually learns to speak up about her grievances and stand her ground.
