In 2003, Lin Haisheng, a fisherman from Qingshigang who had his 800,000 loan embezzled by a partner and was driven to jump into the sea to commit suicide, is reborn back to the day the creditor comes knocking. Relying on an old copper pocket watch system capable of detecting catches, he starts from foraging on the tidal flats, leading childhood friends and coworkers to rapidly accumulate their first pot of gold with premium seafood, gradually buying boats, building cooperatives, opening marine ranches, and ultimately leading the entire village to prosperity, clearing his late brother's name, and transforming Qingshigang into a national rural revitalization model village.
