When Misty Rain Ends, I Will Not Fail You, My Dear
Shen Qingyan, the legitimate daughter of a military general's household, was abducted at the age of five and drifted in an opera troupe for fifteen years. Upon returning to her family, she was spurned by them, reduced to a chess piece in the imperial court, and wrongfully exiled to the northern frontier. In that bitter and cold land, she saved lives and healed the wounded, while her former acquaintance Xiao Yuchuan searched for her for fifteen years, only able to watch over her from afar. The truth of the wrongful case was finally revealed, but the imperial edict was hard to change, and the order of exile could not be revoked. Facing each other on the battlefield, she was struck by an arrow, and with a final dance, she slept forever in her homeland. History books bear no name, yet her name remains carved on the monument; everyone in the world failed her, but she never failed her country or anyone.
