When the Guests Leave, the Tea Goes Cold
Lu Chuan takes his daughter out for a meal, and simply because he asks for one extra paid takeaway box, he is publicly humiliated by the proprietress. Who would have thought that this one-yuan dispute would expose years of accumulated service issues at the restaurant? The previously stable daily orders of seventy-eight portions plummeted to just six! Instead of reflecting on her mistakes, the proprietress spread rumors for revenge and engaged in malicious competition, ultimately causing her reputation to collapse and forcing the nine-year-old establishment to transfer ownership. A tiny takeaway box uncovered the warmth and coldness of human relationships, and also made everyone realize that while business can start over, lost public trust and human hearts are hard to win back.
