When the Wind Rises Over Ripening Wheat
As the wheat ripens, trouble stirs in Liuhe Village. Using low-cost harvesting as an excuse, Sun Youcai takes the lead in canceling Zhao Tiezhu's 3,000-mu reservation, asserting that he will have no work left if he leaves the village. Zhao Tiezhu refunds all payments and heads to Qinghe Town instead. Soon, the boasted eight harvesters are reduced to just two, urgent fees appear one after another, and Sun Youcai's scheme to harvest his own wheat first and make everyone share the costs is exposed. With the rainy season approaching, disputes in the village intensify; in another wheat field, however, new orders for Zhao Tiezhu pour in continuously. Usando a colheita de baixo custo como pretexto, Sun Youcai lidera o cancelamento da reserva de três mil mu de Zhao Tiezhu, afirmando ainda que ele não terá trabalho se deixar a aldeia. Zhao Tiezhu devolve todos os pagamentos e ruma à vila de Qinghe. Rapidamente, as colhedoras anunciadas como sendo oito chegam apenas em número de duas, as taxas de urgência surgem consecutivamente, e os planos de Sun Youcai para colher primeiro o seu próprio trigo e tentar fazer com que todos partilhem os custos acabam por ser desvendados. Com a aproximação da época das chuvas, as disputas na aldeia intensificam-se; noutro campo de trigo, por sua vez, as novas encomendas para Zhao Tiezhu chegam de forma contínua. Uma estação de colheita faz com que todos voltem a ponderar o peso da credibilidade.
