Fourteen Days: An Unfinished Documentary
Lin Mo is an editor in the city used to cutting lies, until he receives a call from his uncle at 3 AM: his mother, Su Guilan, has terminal pancreatic cancer with at most fourteen days left. He rushes back to his hometown overnight, only to see his mother squatting in the courtyard, using fifty-cent super glue to mend a leaking red plastic basin and scolding him for coming back. To stay, he lies that his company sent him to shoot a rural vlog; not wanting to be a burden, his mother lies that it is just chronic gastritis. The fourteen-day countdown begins.

Lin Mo est un monteur à la ville habitué à retoucher les mensonges, jusqu'à ce qu'à trois heures du matin, il reçoive un appel de son oncle l'informant que sa mère, Su Guilan, a un cancer du pancréas en phase terminale et qu'il lui reste au maximum quatorze jours. Il rentre d'urgence au village pendant la nuit, mais voit sa mère accroupie dans la cour, utilisant de la colle forte à cinquante centimes pour réparer une cuvette en plastique rouge qui fuit et le grondant d'être revenu. Pour rester, il ment en disant que son entreprise l'a envoyé filmer un vlog rural ; pour ne pas être un fardeau, sa mère ment en disant qu'il ne s'agit que d'un vieux problème d'estomac. Le compte à rebours de quatorze jours commence.
