This Time, I Won't Give In
Chen Xiulan makes tofu and cooks to support her family. Out of kindness, she lends her neighbor a passageway to build a house, only to be repaid with a new wall blocking her doorway and ever-increasing demands. At their housewarming banquet, the neighbor urges her to serve the dishes while using an old favor to pressure her into cooking the entire evening meal for free. But this time, she won't give in! She puts the written passageway agreement on the table and takes off her apron. The path must be cleared, the wall must be moved back, and every penny of the labor costs owed must be paid. After years of being the honest, long-suffering neighbor, she finally stands up for herself.
