Shen Haisheng, a fisherman in Nanhai Town, is humiliated and denied his wages by the ruthless harbor tyrant Ma Chengfeng, while his girlfriend is forced into an engagement due to poverty. From his late father's relics, he uncovers an ancient sea chart of the 'Shark Sea Dragon's Lair.' Braving perilous waters aboard a beat-up boat with his childhood friend, he captures a legendary catch against all odds. When Ma Chengfeng blockades the harbor upon their return, Shen rushes overnight to Funan, securing an exclusive contract and a two-million-yuan deposit from restaurant tycoon Zhou Defa with rare deep-sea fish, successfully winning back his love. Upgrading his vessel, he explores the Dragon's Lair once more, uncovering a Ming Dynasty shipwreck with exact coordinates. As Ma Chengfeng attempts to steal the chart, stage blockades, seize permits, and deploy illegal salvagers, Shen Haisheng outmaneuvers every plot and brings the tyrant to justice.
