He refused quick-fix artificial feed, insisted on releasing natural snail bait, planted bitter grass along the water flow to improve water quality, and braved the plum rain season at midnight to reinforce barrier nets and guard the crab fry. Lin Xiaoman, a technician from the aquatic products station, was moved by his aquaculture wisdom of adapting to the water's momentum, and youth Zhou Dayong took the initiative to become his apprentice and learn the craft.
