In her previous life, because her family was poor, she and her older sister were abandoned by their biological parents and adopted by different families. She was adopted by the Song family, whose patriarch rose through the ranks to become chancellor, making her a pampered chancellor's daughter. Her older sister, adopted by the Shen family in the countryside, grew jealous and murdered her, believing that the younger sister had stolen the life and blessings that should have belonged to her. Reborn at the moment when they are about to be adopted by separate families, the younger sister decides to let her older sister take the Song family's path while she joins the seemingly unremarkable Shen family. Armed with memories of her past life, she intends to turn her new circumstances into even greater success.
