Reborn back to 1978, Li Yueshan relies on his mountain-trekking skills to help his family live a good day. In the county town, he exposes fake dragon bones and exchanges elixir pills for a beam-supporting jade Ruyi; on his way back, he encounters robbers, raises a rifle, and forces them to write an IOU. Deep in the mountains, he hunts musk and gathers dendrobium, and after being bitten by a poisonous snake, he gains extraordinary abilities instead. On the beam-raising day, the clan elders make a great fuss that women cannot suppress the beams, and he firmly protects his younger sister Yunxiu to send the jade Ruyi onto the crossbeam. His grandfather's family comes to blackmail, and the old story of his mother being forcibly stripped of her heart's blood is uncovered; he holds a knife to protect his mother and severs family ties. In a flash flood, he fishes out a rare stone object, Tai Sui. As the Tai Sui leaves the stone and gradually loses its vitality, he enters the deep mountains again, wondering if he can find the companion stone and protect this overwhelming wealth?
