He used to treat his wife's tears as routine and cared more about the gambling table than his family. Fate gave him a second chance, sending him back to that debt-ridden summer. Waking up as thugs dragged his wife away, he refused to stay silent for the first time. He knew that if he walked the old path again, the rainy night when she jumped into the river would repeat itself. Turning his eyes to the drainage ditch by the paddy fields, he transformed those unwanted red mud-bugs into a pot of aromatic, spicy crayfish. At the night market, it took him merely half a day to go from being mocked to being swarmed by eager customers. This time, he is determined to ensure his wife gets a hot meal every day.
